It’s the most wonderful time of the year and if like me you love to source gifts from independent brands, let me introduce you to some of my favourite luxe-led independents to inspire your own gift-giving this Christmas with The Luxe List Christmas Gift Guide.
The Beauty Shelf
Holy Grail Beauty
When I first discovered Holy Grail Beauty on Instagram this year, I instantly loved their ethos about effective skincare not costing the earth. Not only are all products cruelty-free, but they’re also all under £30. Featuring two minis, this sample set is a great intro to the brand, making it an effortless stocking gift for self-confessed skincare addicts.
Wild Source Apothecary
For beauty obsessed babes, Wild Source Apothecary has the goods. Made in Bristol, their consciously crafted and sustainable skincare collection embraces the ancient art of aromatherapy resulting in a thoughtful array of face, bath and body creations. There’s no denying each product looks the part too – a joy to unwrap if you ask me.
Mikaela Lyons Jewellery
If you’ve not yet discovered Mikaela Lyons, let me introduce you to her beautiful collection of vintage-inspired pieces. Mikaela crafts every single stylish piece by hand and from her signature lioness pendants to the Prettiest Star collection, each design has a vintage feel; a modern-day heirloom if you like – and a gift that keeps on giving.
Tara Osborne Jewellery
Speaking of jewellery, another favourite is Warwickshire designer Tara Osborne. Think contemporary minimal pieces made to last and created to love. From friendship bracelets adorned with gems for your BFF to less is more hoops, Tara’s jewellery promises to take the stress out of gifting all the ladies in your life.
Drawing inspiration from nature, the seasons and the skies, East London based Evermore London has a beautifully thought out range of candles. If I had to choose just one scent to gift, it would be Moon; featuring dreamy notes of rose geranium, saffron, vetivert and amber, it’s a must-have for candle connoisseurs.
Annie Dornan Smith
Prints are such a personal gift and they’re absolutely my favourite thing to buy too. Enter Annie Dornan Smith. Her prints are a pretty new find and I for one would be very happy to wake up to one on December 25th (cc: Oui Non). From encouraging words to illustrated blooms, Annie’s prints will brighten up the walls of your nearest and dearest in an instant.
Sips & Sweets
Gin Gin! Say hello to Tinkture. Hand-crafted in Cornwall and made with fresh roses from David Austin (yes really), Tinkture’s Organic Rose Gin is a delight to sip and the timeless apothecary bottles look pretty perfect out on a bar cart or shelf even when empty. Gift the mini to all the gin-lovers on your list and maybe treat yourself to one too!
Bare Bones Chocolate
Last but certainly not least, a perfectly packaged bar of chocolate for when you need something sweet to send. Bare Bones Chocolate hails from Glasgow and focuses on micro-batch-making, from bean to bar. Made with just the ‘bare bones’, this eco-friendly chocolate will be enjoyed knowing its creation doesn’t compromise on ethics (or flavour).
I hope you’ve found a little inspiration for friends and family (or your own wish list) in The Luxe List Christmas Gift Guide and will join me in gifting independent this season!
